The Target Dummy is an entity in Minecraft Dungeons. It can be used by the player to test their weapons and artifacts, however pets don't attack it unless a weapon with pet targeting is used.

Once you hit the target, you'll be given different rewards depending on which block you're hitting. For example, you get some extra arrows when hitting a fletching table; and you get spruce planks. The @s target selector is used to target the entity that is executing the command. This is often referred to as 'yourself' in the Minecraft help. For example, you can use the @s selector with the /give command to give the player who is running the command 64 tnt: /give @s tnt 64. Now, nothing will stop you from building your own world.
