If prompted, click the button to Open Citrix Receiver Launcher. If using Firefox, click Save File, then the down arrow, then the folder icon and finally double-click CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe. If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes to allow Citrix Workspace to make changes to your device. Once the installation launches, click Start. Start Firefox, enter about:config in the address field and select “I accept the risk!” Type ntlm to the search box. Double-click on “network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris” and type the Citrix Receiver for Windows or Citrix Workspace app for Windows site URL to the pop-up dialog.

  • Partners PC:
    • Partners Network or VPN connection:
      • Click on Windows Start Menu Programs, All Programs, Workspace Favorites Folders, then select EPIC -or-
      • Use My Citrix / Workspace Apps: link on the Partners Applications menu, launch Epic Hyperspace
    • Off Network (no VPN):
      • In a web browser, navigate to Partners Workspace and select Epic
  • Macs and non-Partners PCs:
    • Partners Network or VPN connection:
      • Launch the Citrix Workspace app
    • Off Network (no VPN):
      • Use Firefox or Chrome to access Partners Workspace. Detailed instructions can be found here. -or-
      • Launch the Citrix Workspace app using VPN first, and then modify the Citrix Workspace app for future use: In Citrix Workspace Preferences, Accounts, add https://workspace.partners.org
    • Note: Mac users are unable to print reports
  • iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch): enroll in MobileIron to access Partners email, and other Partners resources.
    • If you use an iPad to access Epic, but have trouble after log in, you need to contact the IS Service Desk and ask for the Haiku/Canto team.

If you have trouble connecting to Epic, first make sure your Citrix Receiver software is up to date. Do not upgrade to the latest version of Citrix if you are using a Partners PC. After installing Citrix on Windows 10, check the default app to handle .ica file extensions is Citrix Connection Manager, detailed instructions here.

Objective

Citrix now supports Dragging and then dropping files between a Citrix session and a local endpoint.
You can drag and then drop files, groups of files, directories, groups of directories, or a combination of files and directories to and from the same client on the session. This ability applies to a desktop session or a seamless app. This includes the desktop, Explorer window, and some applications.

Instructions

On CVAD 2003, To enable drag-and-drop, make the following registry setting on the host:

Name: Enabled
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
After you enable the registry value, and if using the required Citrix Workspace app version, drag-and-drop is enabled after the next session logon.
From CVAD 2012, we have a new policy ‘Drag and Drop’ in the Studio to accomplish the same task. This feature is enabled by default.

Limitation:
  • You cannot drag a file from a client desktop into a Firefox or Internet Explorer browser window inside a desktop session.
  • You cannot drag and then drop into a zipped folder, into an application shortcut, a message from a seamless application to a client desktop, or into a seamless Outlook message if dragged quickly from a client.
